Wedding series.

Wedding season is finally here and I am sure you must be getting a lot of invitations already.

The fact that I love weddings is not only about dressing up fancy but what they symbolize: hope, commitment, family, partnership and of course Love.

Indian weddings are traditionally multi-day affairs, and involves many intricate ceremonies and it is typically divided into three parts ;

Pre wedding, Main wedding, Post wedding.

If you are a bridesmaid then I got you covered for the three most exciting events.

1. Cocktail party

2. Wedding

3. Reception

Wedding is one event where we get a huge scope to play around with a wide range of fabrics and I have always been into minimalistic, edgy and stylish outfits which not only allows to experiment but also makes you stand out.

1. Cocktail party

Outfit –

For cocktail party look, I decided to go with one shoulder gown which enhances your body curves and gives you a little bit of edginess by flaunting your collar bones and toned arms and also I absolutely love the ombre effect because it gives it a vibrant and subtle look at the same time.

I am sure you gotta attend a lot of weddings, not only one and of course repeating the same outfit won’t do justice to the pictures.

Spending on Indian wedding outfits for every occasion can cause a serious damage to your pocket and that is where Rent an attire comes in the picture.

“Why to buy, when you can rent?”

They got a wide range of collection ranging from party, wedding to bridal.

(PS. They have few Sabyasanchi outfits too)

You can visit their stores in Pune, Delhi and Dehradun.

Makeup –

We decided to go with smokey eyes to give it a bold and sexy look followed by nude lips

Hairstyle –

We went ahead with messy hair with loose curls to add some volume to the look.

Makeup – Shilpi Verma

2. Wedding

Its your bride’s one of the most precious moments and you being the bridesmaid hold the responsibility of not only taking care of her but also looking the best.

Outfit –

For this look I decided to wear a lahanga in pastel palette, to give it a soft and elegant look, and also it will create a contrast if the bride is wearing a darker shade.

It has a very beautiful floral print in golden shade and a little bit of embellishments on blouse and on the border.

Accessories –

I have paired it with pearl studded golden jewelry which covers

Neck piece

Maang tikka

Jhommer (Side tikka)

Footwear –

There are a plenty of things we need to take care of, but your wedding shoes can make or break your day.

I believe in spending on a good pair of footwear which are comfortable and gorgeous at the same time.

You need to choose wisely to keep a happy feet, accentuate your style and also in which you can dance the night away.

I chose these pearl studded footwear from Siendodesi which goes really well with my outfit and jewellery and I love how simple yet elegant they are.

I also love its detailing and how insanely comfortable they are.

(PS. They also customize shoes according to your outfit)

Makeup –

Talking about makeup we need to hold on and match up to a lot of requirements.

Here we focused on eye makeup. A non-dramatic yet wholesome eye makeup which is in full harmony with the loud yet composed red lips and also made the cheekbones and strong jaw prominent to enhance the smile.

You should definitely contact Shilpi Verma for a brilliant makeup and I am sure she will make your night more beautiful.

Hairstyle –

For hairstyle we went ahead with milkmaid bun which gives it a classy and a put together look.

I absolutely love how little things can enhance the look and loved how beautiful it turned out.

Makeup – Shilpi Verma

3. Reception

The last ceremony after wedding, and a grand party. Which means you need to look the best and make it memorable.

Outfit –

I wanted this look to be on the glam side and therefore I decided to go ahead with a beautiful embellished gown in pastel blue.

If you notice closely it has got a very stunning detailing and after all its all about details. Isn’t it?

I also love its net sleeves and the fall of the dress which makes it stand out.

I got this outfit from cupid and trust me they have a really cute collection.

Makeup –

Makeup is again on the lighter side which clubs well with the outfit.

Hairstyle –

There are a lot of hair arrangements and the main aim behind such hair styles is to get a traditional yet trendy look. Based on the face structure, height, color, dress etc.

We always look for something that are in Vogue, that suits and look amazing and here we created a twist through hairstyle by side partition bun and accessories which gives it a vintage feel and I absolutely how this look turned out.

Hands down to Shweta Tripathi. She is the most talented hair dresser in the town.

You should definitely contact her if you are looking for something different and I guarantee you she won’t disappoint.

15 Beauty Hacks, You need to know.

Some wise person said “To be successful in life you don’t need to do hard work but smart work”. Taking inspiration from these words i came up with these Beauty Hacks.

To get flawless results all you need is some tricks and not skills.

So in this post I have put together all the hacks i use in my personal life and also the ones i have researched on.

#Hack 1

Cover all those blemishes flawlessly.

To hide that awkward pimple all you need to do is layer it with foundation, concealer and setting powder and ensure that it doesn’t stand out of your face.

#Hack 2

Apply foundation before concealer.

To highlight the concealed areas effectively first set you face with the foundation and then conceal it. This way you don’t even need much concealer and it will work more effectively also.

# Hack 3

Bake your face with Translucent powder.

Complete you under eye base and then sprinkle some translucent powder to bake or cook your face and then dust it off.

# Hack 4

Reduce hair frizz by wiping it up with your T-shirt.

Terry cloth towels pulls too much moisture from your hair, which makes it frizzy, but the smooth cotton of a shirt will remove the excess water and leave your hair frizz free or at least less frizzy.

#Hack 5

Pour Tap water on your Hair before swimming.

To prevent your hair from chlorine or salt water damage, rinse your hair first with tap water before submerging it in the pool or ocean. Your Porous hair strands will absorb the tap water, preventing the chemical from damaging your hair.

#Hack 6

Pin two braids together for an intricate hairstyle.

Don’t need to spend ample time on making a masterpiece hairstyle, instead braid two pigtails on the back of your head, secure them with hair ties and then discreetly bobby pin them together

#Hack 7

Wash your brushes with a gentle face wash

.Your brushes gather germs and bacteria’s which can cause breakouts. Gently rub the bristles of your brush with a face wash or a dish washer liquid soap and then rinse.Remember the cleaner your brush the better your makeup application will be.

#Hack 8

Use different concealer for under eye and your blemishes

Your under concealer should be one shade lighter then your skin but if you use it for your blemishes it will highlight it more so go for a creamy concealer that matches your skin tone , to conceal it smoothly.

#Hack 9

Sharpen your lips edge with concealer

Leaving your lipstick without lining will make the lipstick bleed into the natural creases of the skin around your mouth. line the outside of your lips with the concealer for a sharp look. this will make your lips pop out.

#Hack 10

Don’t use shimmer products if you have oily skin.

Shimmer will make your face look more shinier. Instead swipe to matte bronzer, blushes and concealer a shade lighter than your skin tone to highlight your face.

#Hack 11

Use your phone flashlight to test your makeup in different lighting

If you apply makeup in a room with overhead lighting (which can cast shadows on your makeup). So test your makeup with flashlight of your phone to see you how your makeup will look in different lighting.

# Hack 12

Make your perfume last all day long.

These are some of the points which will help your perfume to last longer.

# Hack 13

Tie ponytails together to keep your bun tight.

Tie the ponytails as close together as possible in the middle of the back of your head, and then wrap the ends around together , creating the bun, secure it with a bobby pin.

# Hack 14

Instantly make your eyes look more awake by lining the inner with a nude eye pencil.

This trick will brighten your eyes and also make you look wide-eyed

# Hack 15

Hide a manicure that’s growing out by creating a glitter ombré effect starting at the base of your nails. .

The best way to give your nails a makeover is, well, glitter. It’s pretty and will last for what feels like forever.

I hope these hacks help you. If you have something else other then this, don’t forget to share it with me.
